O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie!

Above thy deep and dreamless sleep,

the silent stars go by.

Yet in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting light;

The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee to night.

O morning stars, together Proclaim the holy birth,

and praises sing to God the King, and peace to men on earth;

For Christ is born of Mary;

And, gathered all above, while mortals sleep,

the angels keep their watch of won d’ring love.

How silently, the wondrous gift is giv’n!

So God imparts to human hearts the blessings of his heav’n.

No ear may hear his coming;

But in this world of sin, where meek souls will receive him,

still the dear Christ enters in.

Where children pure and happy Pray to the blessed child,

Where misery cries out to thee, Son of the mother mild;

Where charity stands watching and faith holds wide the door,

The dark night, wakes, the glory breaks once more.

And Christmas comes once more.

O holy Child of Bethlehem, descend to us, we pray;

Cast out our sin, and enter in, be born in us today.

We hear the Christmas angels the great glad tidings tell:

O come to us, abide with us,

Our Lord Emmanuel,

O come!

 

噢！伯利恆這美麗的小村莊

怎麼還如過往我們所看到的佇立

在你那又深又沉的睡夢裡

沉寂的星星劃過

照耀著你那漆黑的街道

那永恆的光芒

穿越了這些年（人們）所盼望和曾經歷的恐懼

就在今晚 降臨到這

 

正當凡人仍熟睡時，天使們在守護著（基督）那份無私的愛

出生源於瑪麗的基督，匯集並擔起上述世人的盼望和恐懼（降臨於世）

晨星啊，一同歌頌聖王的誕生！

同來敬拜讚美無上的主。同來祝福世人一切平安！

凡人仍熟睡而天使們在守護著（基督）那份無私的愛

 

藉此把上帝的愛和平安注入了人們的心房

那份來天的祝福， 耳聰的也聞聽到了祂的降臨

但在這罪惡的地方，謙卑、溫順的靈魂將接受祂。

在這，基督將平安帶入他們的心中。 

在這，每個人都懷著赤子之心並愉快地祈禱。

在這，痛苦的人都向您哭訴，聖母之子。

在這，同時聖恩與信仰都篤定地被人們守護著。

 

黑夜甦醒時，榮耀再次破曉

聖人再次降生世上

 

我們祈禱: 噢，伯利恆的聖嬰為我們而降生！

祈禱祂進入我的胸懷裡並驅走我的罪，從此而得新生。

且聽聖誕天使歡欣歌頌:

"求主永遠與我同在，我主以馬利內！"
