編曲者Will Todd，1970年生於英國英格蘭德罕郡（Durham County），畢業於布理斯托大學，本身為爵士鋼琴家，並固定參與爵士三重奏的演出。本曲係Todd接受牛津大學出版社委託所譜寫之歌曲，收錄於該出版社為紀念莎翁逝世400年於2015年8月出版之Shall I Compare Thee歌曲集。Todd之編曲旋律輕柔，男女混聲輪唱，好似描寫著初春百花齊放，萬物生機盎然的情景，同時展現出生命的力量與無窮的希望。
